Preventative Dentistry
GENTLE, COMPASSIONATE DENTAL CARE DESIGNED JUST FOR KIDS.
Why It’s Important
Preventive dentistry helps children maintain healthy teeth and gums, prevents cavities, and addresses potential issues before they become serious. Early prevention builds a foundation for lifelong oral health and reduces the need for more extensive treatment later.

What to Expect at Your Child’s Appointment
During preventive visits, we examine teeth, gums, and bite, clean teeth, apply fluoride, take X-rays if needed, and discuss oral hygiene habits. We also provide education for parents and children on brushing, flossing, and nutrition for healthy teeth.

Preventative Dentistry Options
Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride is applied topically during dental visits to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities. This simple treatment helps protect teeth from decay and promotes long-term oral health.
Dental Sealants
A thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars, sealants help prevent cavities by keeping grooves and pits clean and less prone to decay.
X-Rays - Radiograph
X-rays allow us to see cavities and other dental issues that aren’t visible during a regular exam. They help us monitor erupting teeth, detect decay between teeth, and plan effective treatment.
